The Crossroad

Dear student,

If you say you’re going to do something, you should hold tight to the agreement you made with yourself and others. This way of life travels the path of TRUST and HUMILITY. Gaining TRUST—the all-around TRUST—happens by making a series of correct choices over a long period of time. You and others see that you have held tight to the covenant you have made with GOD to turn your will and life over to His CARE. The question is: Do you TRUST your life with the CREATOR of life?

You made the agreement; the binding contract with God that you would put your life in His care. If not, you must not be done. Maybe you need to burn your life down before it can rise up again. If so, you should be honest and tell your wife and kids to protect themselves from your poor impulsive decisions. This selfish design of living harms the ones who care about you; but if you need to keep your addiction up, you should go tell them of your plan.

You’ve got a lot going good for you, student. The life of which you may burn down is currently abundant and beautiful. Should you burn it down, things may never be the same. You would learn a lot about the disease of addiction at the expense of losing your family.

You might not be able to do it, STUDENT, but I’m betting you can if you stick to the plan. The scenic locations are perfect. Don’t be afraid to be extra CREATIVE as you’ve done in the past. Create new ART that you can add to your old ART.

The SPIRIT can’t get to you if substances are your main focus. This means that your will and life are placed in the FEARFUL world. No more running on FAITH, only FEAR. The FEAR-based life will need you looking for more pleasure. Inside this life, it’s hard to sit still and focus, as boredom becomes a constant companion.

Just remember that the sunshine and the birds and the family will bring you a great amount of joy. You hop out of the parent role and into the present man in the back. As this man, you will go to your children’s level so that you can get to know your kids. A man in the back isn’t an impatient man. And when you fall short of patience, just recognize your error and try again. Don’t talk to yourself in a bad way. Just get reconnected with God and make an adjustment. This life is all about making adjustments, student. And with the HOLY SPIRIT in your heart full time—God will help you through the hard moments of life.

You are doing good, student. Keep making adjustments, my friend.

Your True Friend,

The Man in the Back
