Daily Balance

Daily Balance

We must get the mind, body, and spirit in balance on a daily basis; sometimes twice and three times a day we must get it. In the morning, we wake up early, go for a 15 minute jog, then followed by reading and perfect nutrition. Then at lunch, we head off to a local track where we do sprints, push-ups, then followed by reading and eating in the bleachers. We sit, while getting lost in meditative thought and prayer, and then are headed back to work with carrying the concepts that we had studied, and the experiences that we had experienced-close to us for the remainder of the work day so that we can act on what we have studied and experienced. Then the night rolls around, where we head to the gym experience to get lost in strength and conditioning, then followed by a recovery shake and good conversations with friends where good concepts are discussed - ones pertaining to the lifestyle that we are all trying to live daily. The point of that little scenario was to show you how many times during a day that the mind, body, and spirit can be worked on. Then you can take such understanding a little bit further. Maybe on the weekend you go boating and participate in wake boarding; and then followed by the wake boarding you get back in the boat, eat something healthy, read something spiritual, all while others are now participating in wake boarding. Now instead of you drinking and smoking while hanging out on the lake, you are now actively engaged in a real way since you took the initiative to work on your healthy self by making a conscious effort to harmonize your mind, body, and spirit. Your body was worked on through the wake boarding and nutrition, and your spirit and mind done through the reading and meditative thought after participating in the wake boarding, which was also followed by good conversation since you were sharp in your speech due to you being your best spiritual clear self. Assignment: Briefly write about this concept and then email me what you wrote or post it to the blog. dustin@workoutaddictionrecovery.com
